Library media materials are cataloged and searchable in the library's online catalog. DVDs and VHS tapes are shelved near the library classroom. You can also access a wide variety of streaming videos online.
All physical media materials and equipment must be checked out at the Circulation Desk using your RCC ID card.
Faculty and staff may borrow media materials and equipment for classroom instruction. To avoid disappointment, media materials should be previewed prior to use.
To increase the likelihood of equipment availability, please make requests three days in advance. Requests are honored on a first-come, first-served basis. Same day walk-in requests are allowed but discouraged.
To reserve media materials or equipment, please fill out a media request form at the Circulation Desk, or fill out the online form here.
Semester equipment loans are available for frequent users of the same equipment. Borrowers are always responsible for equipment security. Equipment must be returned to the library for maintenance at the end of the semester. The library may recall semester loan equipment for emergency use.
The library accepts responsibility for maintenance and repair of all library equipment. Please report broken equipment and all equipment dropped in transport.
Please note: Use of library media equipment and materials that is not in support of teaching, learning or authorized college activities or which does not comply with library policies or U.S. copyright law is not authorized by the College.
CDs and DVDs are available to borrow for 14 days with your RCC student ID card. Students may also borrow media equipment outside of the library if it is to be used for a verified RCC club activity on campus. Please fill out an AV Materials and Equipment Request Form (available at the Circulation Desk) three days in advance accompanied by a signed endorsement of a club advisor, Student Activities Director, or Dean of Students. Loan of materials and equipment is subject to availability.
