Health & Wellness

Health & Wellness at RCC

We know that academic success is only possible when you are healthy, both mentally and physically.  RCC provides all students with access to a variety of health and wellness resources.

Project Access

Project Access at Roxbury Community College provides support for students experiencing non-academic challenges that may interfere with their ability to complete a degree or certificate. These challenges may include:

  • Housing instability
  • Personal safety concerns
  • Inadequate childcare
  • Food insecurity
  • Other basic needs insecurities

Through partnerships with nonprofit organizations in the Greater Boston area, Project Access connects students with a wide range of resources and services.

The Project Access Team assists students in navigating Federal, State, and local systems, such as health insurance and food assistance programs. Staff also provide referrals to community organizations offering support in areas such as:

  • Mental health and wellness
  • Domestic violence services
  • Childcare
  • Transportation
  • Furniture and household goods
  • Technology access

The goal of Project Access is to reduce barriers, increase student retention, and help every student succeed.

Please visit the Project Access page for more resources in the Current Students section of the website to learn more.
