Clubs & Organizations

Joining a student club at Roxbury Community College is one of the best ways to make the most of your college experience. Clubs give you the chance to connect with classmates who share your interests, develop leadership and teamwork skills, and build a stronger sense of community on campus. Whether you’re looking to explore your passions, create new friendships, or strengthen your resume, being active in a club helps you grow personally and professionally – while having fun along the way!  Please feel free to reach out to the club president or advisor to ask questions and find out when the next time the club meets.

Action Choreography Club

  • Club's Mission: This club's mission is to offer student the opportunity to connect with other who share similar interest in acting, filmmaking, and performance. It will provide a collaborative environment to develop skills in choreographed fight scenes, enhancing both safety and visual impact.

Gardening & Cooking Club

  • Club's Mission: To help people understand the direct relationship between sustainable gardening and cooking methods in minority communities while connecting the campus closer to local, equitable food production systems.

The Dis/Abilities Alliance

  • Club's Mission: To motivate students with disabilities to feel empowered in the RCC Community.

Video Club

  • Club's Mission: The mission of the Video Club is to give students a fun and creative space to learn about video production, storytelling, and media. We aim to help students build their skills, work together on exciting projects, and gain real world experience behind and in front of the camera.

Chess Club

Deeds at RCC

  • Club's Mission: DEEDS (Diaspora Economic Empowerment Development and Sovereignty) helps RCC students build skills, belonging, leadership, and economic opportunity through peer support and practical campus and community projects. Students complete useful actions, document results, and earn verified DEEDS credits that recognize their contributions. Through the Game of DEEDS, student practice entrepreneurship, cooperative problem solving and accountability while connecting with campus resources and community partners. Memberships is open to all currently enrolled RCC students.

InterVarsity Christian Fellowship Club

  • Club's Mission: The purpose of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship is to foster communities of students, staff, and faculty who follow Jesus as Savior and Lord: Growing in love for God, God's Word, God's people of every ethnicity and culture, and God's purposes in the world

Golf Club

  • Club's Mission: RCC Golf Club will create an inclusive Golf Community promoting Student Engagement, Leadership, wellness, networking, and Career Development. Promoting golf as a life long sport and connecting RCC Students with broader community through clinics, events, and partnerships.

  • Club's Mission: To build a sense of community and find a group of ladies that we can lean on. To provide a safe space when it is needed.

Student clubs at RCC vary each semester, so we encourage you to check back regularly for updated opportunities. If you do not find a club that aligns with your interests and would like to establish a new one, please complete the club application form and submit it to Erica McCummings at emccummings@rcc.mass.edu.

Student Government Association

The Student Government Association (SGA) is comprised of up to 12 elected students, chosen each year by their peers, to act as the official representatives of the student body at Roxbury Community College. SGA represents students when issues and policies affect student life at Roxbury Community College, advises the College governance structure by serving on all College governance committees, and acts as liaison between the College administration and students. SGA assists in planning activities and overseeing the allocation of funds to recognized student clubs and organizations.
