Roxbury Community College (RCC) is pleased to announce the search for its 18th president. Since joining the College in February 2022 as Interim President, Jackie Jenkins-Scott and her leadership team have built on RCC’s strengths while completing myriad improvement projects to ensure the new president is poised for long-term success.
RCC, New England’s only Predominantly Black Institution (PBI), is located in the heart
of Boston, directly adjacent to the City’s premier research hospitals, renowned four-year
institutions, and cultural centers. Established in 1973, RCC offers associate degree
programs, credit-based certificate programs, non-credit professional certification
programs, lifelong learning and fitness classes, and customized incumbent worker training
programs. The College hosts hundreds of civic and community events at the Reggie Lewis
Center and Media Arts Center each year. RCC is committed to providing all learners
with the academic and non-academic support required for degree completion and long-term
success.
RCC is currently celebrating its 50th Anniversary through a year-long celebration rooted in RCC’s legacy of community activism and
civic engagement. Through RCC’s 50th anniversary events, the College is honoring its
legacy, inspiring a new generation of social justice change makers, and positioning
RCC for an additional 50+ years of success.
