On Friday, July 18, 2025, the Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center (the Reggie) at Roxbury Community College (RCC) continued its 30th Anniversary celebration with a golf tournament at Franklin Park. The tournament was part of the 30th Anniversary Golf Tournament. Over 100 golfers participated, raising $55,000 to support program expansion and facility upgrades at the Reggie.
“The tournament highlighted the overwhelming support the Reggie receives from the greater community,” said Dr. Jonathan K. Jefferson, President of Roxbury Community College. “Donor support is critical to the Reggie’s mission of providing the Commonwealth and the Greater Roxbury Community with access to free or affordable health and wellness resources. We are grateful that everyone who participated in the tournament supports our commitment to closing the health equity gap.”
The tournament highlighted the Reggie’s growing partnership with the First Tee Program and Boston Public Schools (BPS). Through the partnership, First Tee runs free programs at the Reggie, utilizing new golf simulators. The 30th anniversary golf tournament included robust participation from First Tee, including:
The tournament ended with a catered luncheon, during which donors and RCC leadership highlighted the important role the Reggie plays in providing health and wellness to the Commonwealth and the City of Boston.
“We appreciate the sponsors, donors, and supporters who continue to show up for the Reggie,” said Vice President of Advancement & the RCC Foundation Jennie McDonald-Brown. “I am confident that by working collaboratively with supporters, elected officials, donors, athletes, and more, we can restore the Reggie Lewis Center and re-establish the Center as the best-in-state athletics facility for the Commonwealth and the Greater Community.”
