Roxbury Community College recently partnered with EmVision Productions, founded by RCC alumna Dr. Tarianna V. Little, to spotlight the people who make our college community what it is. As an alum, Dr. Little brings both a personal connection to RCC and expertise in community-centered storytelling to the project.
Dr. Little and the EmVision Productions team brought creativity, care, and professionalism to every stage of the project, creating the Legacy series to celebrate the experiences, accomplishments, and connections that define the RCC community.
The series features RCC students, faculty, staff, and alumni, offering an inside look at the people and experiences that make RCC a thriving community. Through thoughtful interviews and engaging storytelling, EmVision captures the heart of the College through the voices of those who know it best.
“RCC is so much more than an institution of higher education,” said Dr. Jonathan K. Jefferson, President of RCC. “It’s a community resource open to all, where we meet every learner where they are. We value the lived experiences of our community members, and take immense pride in providing each student with a unique experience tailored to their needs. The Legacy Project not only provides our community with a platform to tell their story in their own words, but it also shows the Commonwealth and beyond why we believe so strongly in our mission.”
For students considering higher education, Dr. Little shares, “community colleges are misunderstood and underappreciated, but they are gems. RCC is a place of opportunity, connection, and legacy. It was my gateway to the dream, and it can be yours too.”
