Lauretta Siggers-Benton, who expertly served as the Interim Vice President of Advancement since October 2025, accepted the permanent position of Chief Advancement Officer and Executive Director of the RCC Foundation in September. Before joining RCC, Siggers-Benton held senior management positions at Cambridge College and the American Red Cross of Eastern Massachusetts, where she led transformative initiatives that enhanced organizational effectiveness and community engagement. She has over 20 years of executive leadership experience and over 30 years in human resources management. Additionally, she is the founder and CEO of Siggers-Benton Consulting LLC, a firm dedicated to helping non-profits, startups, and mission-driven organizations build strong human resources foundations, ensure compliance, and develop high-performing teams. Her work emphasizes people-centered strategies and practical solutions that drive growth and impact.
In September, Amy Nishman joined RCC as the Vice President of Economic and Workforce Development. Nishman brings more than 20 years of experience in social services, workforce development, public health, and direct service, most recently serving in senior leadership at JVS, where she led major initiatives focused on economic advancement, including the innovative $15 million Pathways to Economic Advancement Pay for Success project. At JVS, she also led efforts to expand enrollment, strengthen partnerships, coordinate services around clients’ needs, develop new models to help individuals advance along career pathways, and advance workforce policy solutions at the local and state levels. We are excited to have her leadership and expertise at RCC as we continue to strengthen our economic and workforce development efforts and create more pathways from education to meaningful careers and economic mobility.
Dr. Jonelle Knox is RCC’s Vice President of Student Success, Wellbeing and Belonging. Dr. Knox is a higher education leader with more than 20 years of experience spanning student affairs, academic affairs, and corporate and governmental settings, with a career focused on expanding opportunity and improving outcomes for community college students. Before joining Roxbury Community College, Dr. Knox served in senior leadership roles at New Jersey City University and held academic and student affairs positions at institutions including the College of Staten Island, Westchester Community College, Medgar Evers College, Kennedy-King College, and Bronx Community College. His work and scholarship have focused particularly on student success, retention, equity, and the experiences of Black men and other historically underserved students in higher education. He brings to RCC a deep commitment to creating a connected institutional environment that helps students persist, graduate, and achieve their goals.
This summer, Maithily Erande joined the RCC community as our new Chief Information Officer (CIO). Maithily is an accomplished technology, analytics, and higher education leader whose career spans data science, business analytics, digital transformation, and academic innovation. Previously, Erande held senior product engineering and analytics roles supporting major Fortune 100 organizations, including Apple, Microsoft, Dun & Bradstreet, JPMorgan Chase, and Cisco, with experience spanning finance, media, telecommunications, enterprise risk, and real-time data analytics. She has also distinguished herself as an educator and academic innovator, including as a Data Analytics professor at Hult International Business School, where students repeatedly recognized her as Faculty of the Year, and she received a Dean’s Award for Faculty Collaboration and Innovation.
