Scholarships

Roxbury Community College (RCC) is pleased to offer scholarships to qualified RCC students. Most scholarships are funded through the Roxbury Community College Foundation (RCCF), made possible by donations from public and private entities. Some scholarships are offered directly to RCC students by local non-profit organizations and charities.

Many RCC students qualify for scholarships. Unlike federal financial aid, scholarships are available to students regardless of immigration or enrollment status. For example, students in Workforce Development programs are not eligible for federal financial aid but can apply for scholarships.

Merit-Based Scholarship

Application will open March 4, 2024

Who Can Apply:

Students from all Degree Seeking Majors.
International Students.
DACA Students.

Before completing the scholarship application, please make sure that you meet the following eligibility requirements:

You must be a current RCC student. This scholarship is not eligible to students who will transfer.
You must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
You plan on continuing your studies at Roxbury Community College in Fall 2023 (September 2023).

To complete an application for scholarship:

Fill out the online scholarship application when it becomes available on or after March 4, 2024.
Ask faculty member to support your application by filling out the Recommendation Form. A separate email will be sent to all faculty members with the link to the Recommendation Form.
Please Submit your application by the deadline (June 30, 2024).
Completed applications submitted past the deadline will not be considered.

Award Amount:

$1,000 for Part-time Students
$2,000 for Full-time Students

Need-Based Foundation Scholarship

We are pleased to announce that Roxbury Community College is offering Need-Based Foundation Scholarships, to help you fund your studies up to $2,500 for the academic year!

Who Can Apply:

Students from all Degree Seeking Majors.
International Students.
DACA Students.

Before completing the scholarship application, please make sure that you meet the following eligibility requirements:

You must be a current matriculated RCC student.
You plan on continuing your studies at Roxbury Community College in Spring 2024.

To complete an application for scholarship:

Fill out the "Submit Need-Based Scholarship Application" linked above. It is also located on the Financial Aid page on myRCC.
Please submit your application by the January 22, 2024 deadline.
