RCC does not approve for Credit Internship job postings from companies without first officially approving the company as an Internship Host Sites. There are four steps to becoming an approved For Credit Internship Host Site.
Employers seeking to recruit students for approved For Credit Internships opportunities are expected to follow Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) guidelines, as indicated by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) Professional Standards for University Relations and Recruiting, in addition to our outlined guidelines below.
All interviews for Internship job postings must be directly scheduled and conducted by the organization's employees, rather than by third party representatives. For a definition of a third-party representative or recruiter, please see NACE's Third-Party Recruiting Policy. Student information may not be disclosed other than for the original recruiting purposes.
All materials received from our students (letters, resumes, transcripts, via email or hard copy), should be shared only with those persons at your company or organization involved in the hiring process.
Steps to becoming an approved for Credit Internship Host Site:
Complete an Employer Inquiry Form. This form allows us the opportunity to understand your needs as an employer. To complete an Employer Inquiry Form, click HERE. Pending Employer Inquiry Forms will be reviewed within 7 business days.
Attend a meeting with an RCC representative. Employers will receive an email inviting them to attend a meeting (virtual or by telephone). This meeting should be attended by the company’s designated contact. If additional information is needed, it will be requested at that time. During the meeting a review of the academic Internship course syllabus will be done and any questions that the designated contact may have will be answered. *Additional meetings may be required.
Site visits/tours may be required but will be determined as needed.
A MOU will be signed between the employer and RCC.
