The Business Innovation Center (BIC) empowers Roxbury Community College (RCC) students and the broader Boston community to turn ideas into sustainable ventures that generate life-sustaining wages and build generational wealth. Grounded in equity, the BIC removes structural barriers for emerging and small businesses while anchoring entrepreneurship across RCC’s curriculum.
We do this throughout the lifecycle of a business from ideation and startup, launching and growing, to scaling long-term job creating enterprises. The BIC also offers access 2200 square feet of space equipped with workstations with computers and a networked printer to support "entrepreneurs-in-residence" and students; a flexible classroom/conference room with a Smartboard, dry-erase walls, and modular furniture; a dedicated classroom; and a flexible workspace for partners to provide complementary services such as mentoring, financial counseling for businesses and access to financing.
