The Program offers students an academic foundation in Criminal Justice combined with
an emphasis on a real world understanding of the field. The curriculum is designed
to encourage academic excellence while incorporating the college’s commitment to cultural
education, strengthening the community and educating Criminal Justice professionals
who are sensitive to the needs and concerns of people of color. Courses in the major
include Introduction to Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement Operations and Criminal
Law. Other Program courses, including English, Humanities, Mathematics and Social
Sciences are designed to facilitate transfer to four-year Programs. For more information
