Bio
John McColgan is a Professor of Mathematics at Roxbury Community College where he
has been since 2010. He has taught a variety of levels of math from developmental,
corequiste, and first and second year college courses and in the past served in many
leadership positions in the Acuerdo, Math Department, and Faculty Assembly. In Fall
2024, he completed a sabbatical on AI in mathematics education, where he went from
being a complete skeptic to regularly using GenAI to support students.
