Bio
Kate Edwards received her PhD in Comparative Literature from the University of Massachusetts
Amherst in September 2025. Her dissertation project, Transformative Encounters, assesses
the ways that representations of metamorphosis function in Eastern and Central European
literature and film of the late 20th and early 21st century. She has taught courses
in literature and film since 2018.
