- Roxbury Repertory Theater and Mass College of Art Present the 2nd annual performance of Six Playwrights In Search of a Stage, an evening premiering five new 10 minute plays by Con Chapman, Rebecca Saunders, George Smart, Cliff Blake, and Joe Byers. The evening will include The End of Theater, a short play by the RRT’s 2011 Playwright Laureate Michelle Gabow. Performances are Friday and Saturday, April 29 and 30 at 7:00PM. - Roxbury Community College’s 2011 Gateway Awards recipients will be honored Wednesday April 6 at 5:30, Mainstage at RCC. This year’s awards honor Musau Dibinga, Michael Maso, Melvin Miller and Kay Sloan. Performances by OrigiNation, and kids from Roxbury Repertory Theater included. The Gateway Award gives the College the opportunity to recognize individuals who are making outstanding contributions to the community as well as to other communities around the city. Moreover, gathering this award enables us to commemorate the enduring collaborative spirit between Roxbury Community College and our community partners in Greater Boston as we celebrate the redoubtable power of education and the arts. Recipients of the Gateway Award include Liz Walker, Sam Yoon, Mel King, Joan Resnikoff, Gloria Fox, Ruth Ellen Fitch, Keith Motley, Randolph Bromery, William Sapers and Janet Langhart-Cohen.
