Urban Planning 101: Shaping a Future of Great Expectations!

MIT sociologist and planner Xav Briggs will discuss the evolution of several major traditions within planning, including "city planning.” Where did planning come from, whose interests has it served or not served, how has it changed, and where is it headed? What dilemmas have planners -- professionals, citizens, and others -- struggled with and why? How can RCC play a role in shaping its own future?

Refreshments will be served following the event.
