Online Writing Lab

We are very excited to introduce the Online Writing Lab! With the Online Writing Lab, you can receive free online feedback from one of our writing tutors.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Login to https://rcc.mywconline.net/ (If it is the first time you are using our scheduling system, click on “Click here to register” link). Be certain to select Online Writing Lab from the drop-down menu.
  2. Click on an available time slot (a white box indicates availability).
  3. Provide all relevant appointment information in the pop-up window, and click “Save.”
  4. The next webpage will allow you to submit your essay document. Be certain to upload your document to our server.
  5. A writing tutor will provide feedback within 2 business days. You will receive an e-mail when your tutor’s feedback is ready.
  6. Once the feedback is ready, you may access your tutor’s feedback by logging into https://rcc.mywconline.net/. Click on your original appointment (this will appear as a green box within the schedule). Your tutor’s feedback will appear in a separate document. Download the document.

The Learning Center is now in 3-203

Visit our online scheduling system to reserve a one-on-one appointment for tutoring in Building 3, 2nd floor, room 203: https://rcc.mywconline.net.

Setting Up a Free Account: Click on the “First visit?Click here to register” link.The system will ask you for some basic information including name, major, and graduation year.  Please be sure to fill this information out accurately and thoroughly.  Your information will not be shared.

Viewing the Schedule: The schedule is organized by day and time slots available for each tutor.  White blocks indicate an available appointment; blue and purple blocks indicate an unavailable time slot; gray blocks indicate a time that has already passed. Depending on the day and time, appointments may last 30 or 60 minutes.

Scheduling an Appointment: Click on a white block for the time and tutor you would like to reserve. You will be asked to fill in the course, the instructor's name, and a brief explanation for what you would like to work on.  Once you have done this, click "Save Appointment" at the bottom of the pop-up window. Once your appointment has been entered into the system, the corresponding white block will turn orange.

If you need help using Wconline, you may drop by The Learning Center in Building 3, 2nd floor, room 203 and a staff member will assist you.

Peer and professional tutors work with students one-on-one or in small groups to improve academic skills and to develop learning strategies. Tutoring is designed to enhance and support classroom learning, so that students gain the skills and confidence to be successful in coursework.

The Learning Center (Room 3-203) offers tutoring in a wide variety of subjects.

If you need help scheduling a tutoring appointment, you may drop by The Learning Center, and a staff member will assist you.

Group tutoring sessions in specific topics are offered in various rooms. To view the schedule of group tutoring sessions, please click here. For group tutoring sessions, you do not need to sign up in advance – simply show up!

The Language Lab (Room 3-203) offers tutoring and support in learning English as a Second Language, Spanish, French, and Arabic.

You may speak to your professor about available language resources.  The Language Lab has language program resources for student use.  If in need of a tutor, you may check the tutor schedule online and see what kind of tutoring is available each semester. Student Health 101

Student Health 101 is a monthly health and wellness magazine just for students and their families. Each issue contains valuable information that will help students make better decisions and can help you gain a better understanding of the health and wellness challenges that face today’s students.

The Health Services Office is open Monday-Friday from 9:00am-5:00pm. A registered nurse is on duty to provide emergency and routine treatment for common illness and injuries, i.e., colds, headaches, sprains and lacerations. Students with more complex health problems are referred to other health care facilities for more comprehensive care. Health and wellness education and disease prevention are additional activities of Health Services and may include blood pressure and blood sugar screenings, weight management, health fairs, AIDS awareness, and smoking cessation programs. Services are available on a free, walk-in basis.

Health Insurance
All students enrolled in nine or more credits must participate in a health insurance program. The cost for this health insurance is included in your bill when you begin your classes at RCC and is included for the fall semester of every year. If you have your own insurance and do not wish to be covered through the program provided by the College, you must complete a computer waiver form indicating that you are independently insured. Upon submission and approval of this waiver to the RCC Health Insurer Proivider, the charge for insurance will be removed from your bill. For further information regarding this insurance program, visit the RCC website at rcc.mass.edu or visit Health Services in the Student Center, Bldg,. 4, Room 313.

Massachusetts General Law requires all full-time students (12 or more credits), and all Health Sciences and International Students to provide proof of immunization against specific diseases. The required immunizations are: Tdap (booster within the past ten years); two doses of MMR (measles, mumps, rubella); three doses of Hepatitis B and two doses of varicella (chickenpox). Tuberculosis requirements must be completed by all Health Sciences students and International Students. The Admissions Office will provide students with the Immunization and Medical History Form for completion by the health care provider and the Medical History Record Form for completion by the student.

The Learning Center is now in 3-203


The Learning Center supports the learning of Arabic, ESOL, French, and Spanish through the use of interactive audio and visual media. We also offer tutoring support for students enrolled in ESOL and world language courses. Computers with Spanish language software are also housed in the Learning Center for student use.  In addition, language and writing tutors are available by appointment in the Learning Center now located in Building 3, Room 203. 

Language Resources enable students to:

  • Work on pronunciation and grammar
  • Access and create authentic audio and video in the target language
  • Work with presentation platforms
  • Use interactive language-learning media
  • Use electronic dictionaries
  • Type in the target language
