RCC Library Resources Available On Campus

Visiting the Library If you need to visit the library spaces, the links below will help you make the necessary appointments to come in. You can find the calendar here to see our upcoming events, consult our open hours page for more details.

Make an appointment to visit the library If you wish to study on campus, use a library computer, microscope, or other equipment, or meet with a librarian. (Note: All meetings with librarians will take place virtually, using Microsoft Teams or Zoom on your phone, computer, or a computer lent to you by the library.  You do not have to come to the library to meet with a librarian, but you may do so, if you like.)

Borrowing Physical Materials Request Library Materials using our Office 365 form. We'll pull the materials from the stacks for you, and hold them at the circulation desk. When your items are ready for pick-up, we'll email you. Next, you'll need to make an appointment to pick up library materials at a time and date that is convenient for you. When you are finished with the materials, please place them in the book drop outside building 3.

RCC Library Resources Available Remotely (off campus) 

The RCC Library has an array of resources that be accessed from off-campus to meet your research needs. All these resources can be accessed with your library barcode. If you do not have a barcode, please email the library at This email address is being protected from spambots. EBooks: The library has over 60,000 eBooks, all accessible from home.

  • Ebook Central includes 30,000 online books. This is the “community college” collection, of interest to students and faculty at 2-year colleges. All books are simultaneously available to all RCC users. ·
  • EBSCO eBook Collectionoffers thousands of eBooks from a wide variety of disciplines including science, history, engineering, education, and more. 
  • R2 Digital Libraryis a leading eBook platform optimized for the health sciences. A comprehensive collection of medical, nursing, and allied health sources with seminal and specialized titles.

Streaming Videos: Students, faculty, and staff have access to over 100,000 streaming videos from two separate services.

  • Academic Video Online is the most comprehensive video subscription available to libraries. It delivers more than 64,000 titles spanning the widest range of subject areas including anthropology, business, counseling, film, health, history, music, and more.
  • Kanopy streams thousands of titles including classic cinema, documentaries, independent movies, and foreign films.
  • JoVE Science Education offers quality videos. These simple, easy-to-understand video demonstrations cover a wide range of STEM subjects.
