RCC/MIT Collaboration: Special Seminars in Urban Studies

Guest Lecture: Phil Thompson

Dr. Thompson is an MIT Professor of Housing, Community and Economic Development at MIT Dept. of Urban Studies and Planning. He was active in the civil rights movement in the 1960s and 70s, is former manager of NY City Housing Authority, and has been an advisor to NYC Mayors David Dinkins and Bill deBlasio. He has been an activist all his life and is an inspiring speaker.
Phil will be discussing Economic Democracy and Social Justice: the unfinished legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King.
