International Admissions Guide

Please complete the application for admissions and return it to the Office of Admissions promptly along with the required documentation. In order to process your I-20 in a timely manner, it is very important that you answer all questions on the application and retrun it at least 60 days prior to the beginning of the desired semester.

STEPS:

  1. Complete and sign the Admissions Application and I-20 Application (Be sure to select only one Academic Program (Major) on the application.
  2. Submit a $35.00 application fee (U.S. Money order only).
  3. Official/Certified copy of high school transcript/diploma. Foreign educational records must be evaluated by an approved agency and NOT translated.
  4. Affidavit of Support. you can download it here or go to http://www.uscis.gov search for for I-134
  5. Certified Bank letter of Sponsor stating the account balance in U.S. currency equivalencies.
  6. Submit proof of immunization.
  7. Certified Employment Letter from the Sponsor. If self-employed a copy of last income tax return.
  8. Complete the I-901 and follow the instructions on www.fmjfee.com
  9. If you are already in the United States and a Non-Immigrant (F-1 status), with a Certificate of Eligibility (I-20AB) from another school or college, you must submit a copy of the I-20AB issued to you from your current institution and a copy of the Transfer Evaluation form.

International Students

Dear Prospective Student:

We appreciate your interest in Roxbury Community College and our programs. We believe our record of quality education, low tuition, small student-to-faculty ratios, student diversity, and the success of our graduates are good reasons for considering Roxbury Community College. At RCC students come first!

It is important that you read all the enclosed information, submit all the required paperwork, and respond to all requests. Please consult the appropriate deadlines found on the second page of this application package. There is a $35 application fee for international students. There is no fee for processing the I-20 form. International students are responsible for securing housing. The college does not provide housing. Click here to see the International Student Admissions Guide.

As an International Student living in another country, keep in mind that you will need additional time for travel. Please be advised that Roxbury Community College has no residence halls to house students. This means that you will be responsible for obtaining adequate housing.

DEADLINE: International Student Application needs to be completed and submitted to the Admission Office by the deadlines indicated below. If you are applying for:

  • January, the deadline is NOVEMBER 1
  • September, the deadline is JULY 2
  • International Students may transfer within 3 weeks prior to the start of the semester. However, the student must be in Good Standing with a Valid F-1 Student Visa.
