2026 Commencement Honorees

Roxbury Community College (RCC) is proud to recognize three distinguished honorees at its 2026 Commencement ceremony. Each honoree reflects the College’s longstanding commitment to leadership, service, equity, and community impact. This year’s honorees are Judge Leslie Harris (Lifetime Achievement Award), Dr. Charles Anderson (Community Service Award), and Roeshana Moore-Evans (Distinguished Alumni Award).

On Friday, April 24, RCC and community leaders gathered to celebrate the official inauguration of RCC’s 18th President Dr. Jonathan K. Jefferson, who took office in July of 2024. During the ceremony Dr. Jefferson was administered the Presidential Oath by Massachusetts Commissioner of Higher Education Noe Ortega and was presented with the Presidential Medallion.

RCC Hosted Free Clothing Market for Students and Families

Roxbury Community College hosted its spring Thrift and Thrive Free Market, a free clothing event open to all RCC students. Now in its third year, Thrift and Thrive is held twice a year to give students the opportunity to take home clothing for themselves and their families at no cost, from professional wear and everyday basics to children's items.
