Photographer Don West exhibits his "Portraits of Purpose"

Critically acclaimed photographer Don West presents a selection of photographs from his groundbreaking exhibit, "Portraits of Purpose," on display at the Resnikoff Gallery in the Media Arts building at Roxbury Community College.  The exhibit depicts contemporary African American leaders who have advanced access and opportunity in the continued pursuit of justice.

Alongside these powerful portraits is the newly launched book, Portraits of Purpose: A Tribute to Leadership where West teams up with Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Kenneth J. Cooper to present a unique visual chronicle and historic narrative of social change in Boston (1980-2013)

On February 27th, from 6:00p -8:30p (rescheduled due to the weather)  there will be an artists' reception, commentary and book signing.
