TITLE: Maynor Campos- Artist

DESCRIPTION: Maynor Campos is a 31 year old native of Malacatan, San Marcos, Guatemala. Formerly a resident of Boston, he has moved to Maine. He has shown his paintings at San Marcos City Hall, Malacatan City Hall, the Casa Romero Restaurant on Newbury St. and now at the RCC library. Campos was influenced by his uncle, Arnoldo Campos who was a painter in Guatemala and by both his parents, Rodolfo and Eloina. Maynor Campos draws further inspiration from the beautiful colors of the textiles of Guatemala as well as Mayan influences which are still visible in his country to this day. According to Campos, "My paintings, for me, represent life, nature, welcoming, hapiness, and the indigenous people of my country."
