Mark Leszcyk

Mark Leszcyk is a Providence, R.I., resident with several years of coaching experience.  He comes to Roxbury Community College after three years of coaching Dean College’s women’s basketball team, which he guided to a 55-21 overall record and back-to-back appearances in National Junior College Athletic Association Region XXI Div II championship games.

During his Dean tenure, Leszcyk helped two of his players earn Academic All American honors and several players earn scholarships to Division I and Division II colleges that play at the National Collegiate Athletic Association level. Six players received Academic Achievement awards from Dean.

Prior to Dean, Leszcyk worked as head coach of Our Lady of Fatima High School’s girls’ basketball team for two seasons, guiding it to its first ever interscholastic league playoff appearance. The school, based in Warren, R.I., had not won a girls’ basketball game in four years preceding his arrival.

Leszcyk also previously served as head coach of the Lincoln School’s girl’s junior varsity basketball team, and he founded Rhode Island’s Ocean State Pride Amateur Athletic Union program.
