Kwami Green, Men’s Head Basketball Coach

Coach Kwami Green is entering his fourth year as the Men’s Head Basketball Coach at Roxbury Community College.  Last season, Green led RCC to a 25-5 record and a fifth place finish at the NJCAA National Tournament. 

Throughout the 2009-2010 season, Green’s team won the RCC Invitational, the MCCAC and the NJCAA Region XXI Tournaments.  The Tigers were ranked in the Top 10 Nationally for their entire season.  Two of Green’s players were named National NJCAA Division III Player of the Week, and Green was voted the Region XXI and District XIII Coach of the Year. 

Prior to RCC, Green was the Men’s Varsity Coach at Brighton High School.  During his eight seasons at Brighton, Green amassed a 79-63 regular season record, leading his team to the post-season on five occasions.  Brighton was crowned the Southside Division Champions during the 2006-2007 season. 

Prior to working at Brighton High School, Green spent three seasons as the Men’s Head Varsity Coach at Trinity High School in Newton. 

A graduate of Brookline High School, Green attended Morehouse College (Atlanta, GA) where he earned his degree in psychology and liberal arts.  For the past 15 years, he has been a counselor for the Boston Public Schools System.
