All applicants for admission to the College are required to
submit an official final transcript as evidence of having completed
their secondary school education. High school seniors may give
their completed application form and application fee to a guidance
counselor, who will enclose the necessary transcript and immunization
records (see below) and mail them to RCC's Office of Admissions.
Applicants who have already graduated from high school and
are applying by mail should contact the school from which they
graduated and request that the school forward an official transcript
directly to the RCC Admissions Office. Applicants with a high
school equivalency certificate (GED or USAFI) should have official
or notarized copies of both their certificate and their test
scores forwarded to the Office of Admissions. Applicants who
hold an associate degree or bachelor's degree may submit either
their college or their high school transcript.
Students with a transcript in a language other than English
must submit a notarized or certified translation of their transcript.
The translated document must clearly indicate that the student
completed the equivalent of secondary school with a passing
grade in each subject, or they must submit a notarized evaluation
of their transcript in English. All applicants from English-speaking
countries, or applicants who have received their secondary
school education in a British system or similar educational
system, must submit the originals or certified copies of at
least one of the following academic documents:
- General Certificate of Education (G.C.E.),
Ordinary Level
- School Certificate
- Royal Society of
Arts (RAS) Certificate, Stag~ 2 or 3
- London Chamber Commerce
(L.C.C.) Certificate, Stage 2
or 3 .
- Caribbean School Certificate .
- Teacher's
Certificate
Other documents that are deemed comparable to or
higher than the above credentials
may be i considered. Transcripts
of terminal
school report cards, mock examination
results, attendance records, or testimonials are not
acceptable.
Applicants without at least one of the records
listed above, or applicants who
are having trouble " obtaining
transcripts, should contact the
RCC Office of Admissions for assistance.
