Students with more complex health problems are referred to other health care facilities for more comprehensive care.
Health education and disease prevention are additional activities of Health Services and may include blood pressure screening, weight management, health fairs, AIDS awareness, and smoking cessation programs. Services are available on a free, walk-in basis.

HEALTH INSURANCE
All students enrolled in nine or more credits must participate in a health insurance program. The cost for this health insurance is included in your bill each semester. If you have your own insurance and do not wish to be covered through the program provided by the College, you must complete a waiver form indicating that you are independently insured. Upon submission of this waiver to the Business Office, the charge for insurance will be eliminated from your bill. For further information regarding this insurance program, go to the Office of Health Services, Student Center, Room 313.
