Ability To Benefit

Applicants to RCC who do not have a high school diploma or a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) and are not currently enrolled in a high school curriculum may qualify for admissions by under the Ability To Benefit (ATB) guidelines.  The guidelines allow a student to demonstrate that they can benefit from an educational experience at RCC by taking and passing a federally approved test.  RCC administers the Accuplacer test which consists of Reading Comprehension, Sentence Skills and Arithmetic.

The ATB does not replace a high school diploma and individuals are strongly encouraged to complete their high school program or attain a GED.
