Welcome New Faculty!
Guercie Jean-Baptiste,RN,MSN joined the Associate Degree Nursing faculty this summer.
Colette Dieujuste,MSN joined the Evening Option ADN faculty this summer to teach maternity.
Makada Kamara,CNM a certified midwife joined the Day ADN Program to teach maternity with clinicals at Mt.Auburn Hospital as adjunct faculty.
Patricia Nunn joined the Practical Nurse Program as adjunct faculty at Santa Maria Health Care Facility.
Dawn Cater,MS,FNP-BC joned the Practical Nursing Program as adjunct faculty at Benjamin Health Care Center.
Other News
The Health Sciences Division was awarded a $150,000 grant from the Balfour Foundation that will allow the updating of the Nursing Skills Lab to insure that our students are exposed to cutting edge technology.
The Health Sciences Division in now under the leadership of a dean. Dr. Gloria Harris Cater,FNP-BC started in September 2010. She previously was a faculty member in the HSD at RCC and brings a wealth of clinical and administrative experience to her new post.
The Practical Nurse Program under the leadership of Hansella Caines Robson,BSN,MHA was approved for accreditation by the Board of Registration in nursing. Angela MacDonald and other faculty are in the program who contributed to the successful visit.
The ADN Program under the leadership of Peggy McGettigan,MSN and Theresa Russ,MSN received
reaccreditation from the National League of Nursing in March,2010.
Rad Tech Program Awarded Full Accreditation
June 2007
The Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology has accredited the Radiologic Technology program following at site visit last fall. The program graduated its first class June 2007.
