Mental Health Worker Certificate Program

CURRICULUM One Semester, 12 credit certificate program       Semester I Courses Credit   HLT 130 Fundamentals of Mental Health 3   HLT 131 Skills for the Mental Health Worker 3   HLT 135 Theory and Practice in Mental Health 3   HLT 298 Internship in Mental Health 3   Total Credits: 12         HLT 130, 131, 135 and 298 all require ENG 101 eligibility. This one semester program will prepare the successful student for positions in mental health care agencies. A supervised internship will be provided in a mental health care agency in the Boston area. The program is limited to 10-20 students. Preference is given to students who wish to enroll for all four courses at the same time. CORI clearance is required. Enrollment in HLT 298 does not guarantee clinical placement.
