Groundbreaking Ceremony - April 2016

Update:  Due to forecasts predicting wind and rain, the Groundbreaking Ceremony will be held indoors at the Media Arts Center.

You are cordially invited to attend our Groundbreaking Ceremony. This ceremony will mark the official start of major campus renovations, funded by the MA Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM). We encourage you to celebrate the launch of these renovations with faculty, staff, students, community members and friends.

Day: Thursday

Date: April 7, 2016

Time: Ceremony - 1:30 p.m. Reception - 2:00 p.m.

Location: Roxbury Community College - The ceremony will be held in the Media Arts Center's Auditorium, and the reception will be held in Building 4, on the 2nd floor.

The planned renovations are extensive, and will address the major infrastructure updates required for the College's long-term success. The College and its students will benefit from new windows, new elevators, new student common areas, a new academic support center, new nursing and radiology labs and a new testing lab, to name a few. The planned renovations also include the installation of a new solar canopy in Parking Lot 1, to further the College's sustainability efforts.

Confirmed speakers for the Groundbreaking Ceremony include Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh, DCAMM Commissioner Carol Gladstone, Roxbury Community College President Valerie Roberson and a representative from Roxbury Community College's Board of Trustees.
