    The Mission of Roxbury Community College Upward Bound
    Roxbury Community College Upward Bound is here to serve the community by teaching young people the initial skills and behaviors to succeed in high school and to move forward to college or other post-secondary educational opportunities. We work with our students with the philosophy that there is never any time when learning opportunities do not arise.  Upward Bound seeks to improve students’ ability to recognize and take advantage of any such circumstances. We work with first generation, low -income students from target Boston Public High and Middle Schools.  RCC Upward Bound utilizes music, technology and arts education to forge a strong basis for success.

    Upward Bound prepares students for college and lifelong access to colleges and universities, we offer:

      • Increased knowledge, academic skills and motivation
      • Cultural trips and recreational activities
      • Opportunities to lead and serve
      • Paid fees for standardized tests and college applications
      • Financial aid and college application workshops
      • Stipends (can be earned)
