GRADE POINT AVERAGE (GPA)

Grade points earned in any course are found by multiplying the quality points assigned to the letter grade by the number of credits for the course. A student's grade point average is determined by adding the total points earned in all courses that semester and dividing this total by the total credits attempted. For example, a student earned the following grades for one semester:

Course Grade Quality Point Attempted Credits Total
English 20-101 A 4.0x3 12
Math 10-102 B 3.0x3 9
Science F 0.0x4 0
Business C 2.0x3 6
Total Quality Points: 27 GPA = 27/13 = 2.08
Credits Attempted: 13
