At this time, only currently registered RCC students have access to the computer labs. However, you can use the Community Access Lab if there’s a computer available.

Do I need to sign-in or show ID to use the Computer Lab?

Yes, upon entering the Computer Lab, please see the lab assistant at the instructor's desk. You will be requested to show your RCC ID and sign up.

Yes. There is now a lab hours available on-line. To view the lab hours in each lab click here and select a lab you want to view lab schedule.

I have software I want to use. Can I install it on the computers in the computer lab?

No. Installing software is prohibited under the Acceptable Use Policy. Installing unauthorized software could potentially breach software licensing and/or compromise the functionality of currently installed software. If your professor has provided you software you need for instruction, please refer back to your professor to contact the ITS for assistance.

I have some software that I would like to install on the Instructor computer? Is this permissible?

Software should never be installed on any lab machine without prior authorization. Installing software could cause corruption to the currently installed software and make the machine non-functional for other users. Most software requires installation using the Administrator’s account and you do not have access to use that account. Please refer to the Software Installation Policy for Computer Facilities for the procedure on special requests.

How do I report a computer or printer problem in a lab?

First, you need sign in to your RCC student email (http://mail.roxbury.edu); 2. click on "Settings"; 3. click on "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" and follow the directions.

How to sign into RCC library network?

RCC library network is taking your student ID/PIN as login credential. The database is PHAROS. The data is simcornized with MyRCC every hour.

RCC student email is Gmail. Please go to URL http://mail.roxbury.edu sign in with username/password. Please go to the Advising Office to get your login info if you don't know. Academic Building, room 356. Or call ext. 5240 for help.

How to sign into Moodle?

Moodle is RCC's online course learning system. The URL is http://moodle.rcc.mass.edu/moodle/ . The username for Moodle is the same as your student e-mail. The password is your /student ID. If you have any questions please e-mail OnlineEd@rcc.mass.edu or call 617-933-7439 or go to Academic Building, (Blg.3)  Room 207 and ask for help.
