Saturday Morning Classes
One-Semester Long
Improving Reading Skills (Grades 2- 4): CSA388 Z1: Saturday 9:00 – 10:25AM; $125
Students will read several literature pieces and participate in a weekly group discussion to best develop strong literacy concepts and skills.

Improving Math Skills (Grades 2-4): CSA354 Z1: Saturday: 10:35 AM-12:00 PM; $125   
This course covers computation, measurement and estimation, number relations, generalizing, predicting and problem solving. These skills will provide students with the confidence necessary to minimize their math anxiety.

Math Works (Grades 5-7): CSA 172 Z1: Saturday 9:00A – 10:25AM; $125
Your child will review the four basic operations of whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.  Focus will be on improving computational skills in preparation for more advanced concepts.
Creative Writing (Grades 5-7): CSA 367 Z1: Saturday: 10:35 AM-12:00 PM; $125
This is a course in which children will use their imaginative potentials and their five senses to produce literary works from poetry to fiction.
Spanish for Pre Teens (Gr. 5-8): CSA401Z: Saturday 9:00A – 10:25AM; $125                                                                                                            
Designed for children with some exposure to Spanish, this course will focus on the written and cultural aspects of that language.  Reading and conversation will also be taught.
Conversational French For Children (Grades 5-8): CSA370 Z1: Saturday: 10:35 AM-12:00 PM;  $125                                                                                    
Broaden your child’s horizon by registering him/her for this class in which s/he will be taught the basics of the French language.  At the completion of this course, your child will begin to converse in French —with an attitude s’il vous plait.


Weeknight classes

We now offer week night classes for children in an effort to accommodate you, the parent, to sign up for night credit or non credit courses at Roxbury Community College. These night courses are one semester long and cost $125 per course.

Computers For Children (Ages 6-8): CSA 358 Z1: Thursday 6:00 PM-7:25 PM; One-semester long; $125     
Today’s world requires children to be confident computer users. This beginner’s course offers a fun, supportive, and hands-on approach to computer learning. This course will include a variety of educational software, which will enhance your child’s critical thinking skills.

Intro. To Arabic  (Ages 6-8): CSA403 Z1: Thursday 6:00 PM-7:25 PM; One-semester long; $125                                                    
The Arabic language has become very popular in the state over the past few years. In addition, parents of Arabic descent often wish to see their children remain connected to their cultural heritage by learning the language. This course which offers such an opportunity has been added to the Kids to College program by popular demand.
