EKG Technician Certification Programs EKG TECHNICIAN CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS
This training program provides students not only the hands-on practices, but also the theoretical skills necessary to pass the ASPT’s EKG Exam or any other EKG related national exam. Students who are enrolled in the EKG training program are taught Medical Terminology and Human Anatomy and Physiology with a focus on the Anatomy and Functions of the Heart. Program participants will receive extensive training on the EKG machines while learning lead placements, 10/12 lead EKG, and rhythm strips. They will also learn to identify abnormalities and EKG emergencies, medical law and ethics. Students completing this program will be required to participate in a 20-hour externship prior to taking the national certification exam. High School Diploma/GED, Immunization, CPR training, and CORI required. |
