Coach Josh Powell is entering his first season as Assistant Coach of the Roxbury Community College Men’s Baseball Team. 

Prior to coming to RCC, Coach Powell was the Assistant Coach of the Suffolk University Men’s Baseball Team from 1994-2006.  At Suffolk, he assisted in the recruiting of numerous student athletes during his time with the team.

From 1986-2002, he was the manager of a semi-pro baseball team in Boston. He guided his team to 12 playoff appearances, winning five league championships. 

Several of coach Powell’s former players have gone on to major and minor league baseball careers.  He created two successful baseball academies in the Dominican Republic, and has also been inducted into the Boston park League Hall of Fame.
